Magpie Digital is a growing content agency in the online sports, casino and poker marketplace. We are looking for a driven team member to help us deliver and publish top-quality online content to our customer’s as well as our own websites and blogs.  

You will write yourself, and team up with our copywriters to create and edit eye-catching content that includes reviews, news articles, blog posts, and other sports and eGaming writings.

We are looking for candidates with a few years of experience, or recent graduates who have completed classes in writing, advertising, and marketing. This position is designed for individuals who are serious about building strong, strengthening their skill and portfolios and becoming web publishing and copywriting professionals.

Details:

This is a full time position based in our offices in Douglas, so own transportation is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing research of news and various topics relating to eGaming, sports and sports betting.
• Come up with ideas for weekly publications of topics of interest.
• Write your own articles and blog posts, as well as write briefs on topics for other content writers.
• Proofread and edit materials created by other writers
• Write SEO copy and guest posts
• Code and publish blog posts using content publishing systems (WordPress)
• Upload written content to websites and blogs
• Create and monitor social media marketing campaigns
• Assist the content managers and senior copywriters with other writing-related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• University graduate (or equivalent experience or degree) pursuing a career in website publishing, writing, advertising, or a related field.
• Professional writing voice that can adapt to a variety of styles.
• Ability to structure blog posts and website copy in a logical sequence.
• Excellent editorial skills in areas of accuracy, voice, readability, and grammar.
• Ability to conduct thorough, credible research and organize findings.
• Strong collaborative skills with both in-house and remote teams.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience in product and project management
• Knowledge of internet marketing and social media best practices
• Knowledge of basic HTML coding
• Knowledge of SEO
• Experience and knowledge in eGaming – a big plus
